What can you do?
Sign Environment California’s petition to Costco: https://environmentamerica.org/california/take-action/call-on-costco-to-move-beyond-single-use-plastic-packaging/
Review this information from McSisters previous blog about climate and toilet paper. The Kirkland brand toilet paper and paper towels received an F rating in sustainability from the NRDC (Natural Resource Defense Council). https://www.mcsisters.org/why-it-matters-blog/wow-toilet-paper-and-climate-change
This week McSisters are asking you to take an important action today and urge others to act also. If you shop at Costco, you may have noticed the extreme prevalence of supersized packaging. Little tiny products, such as movie passes, sd cards, face cream and more are packaged in large hard plastic. As we’ve reported before, it is estimated that one garbage truck’s worth of plastic is dumped in our oceans every 45 seconds. And, we know what happens then!
