Advocacy
As we McSisters delved into the impacts of single-use plastic, we have learned about many organizations that address the impacts of single-use plastic on our environment, climate, health, and vulnerable communities.
We invite you to learn about these organizations and take some action.
Some good news: many solutions are being developed, such as reducing plastic waste and creating plant-based alternatives to plastic.
Success stories make it all worth it. You will find a list of advocacy organizations and ideas on our Products and References.
Through Advocacy…
We have the power
To alter our own habits
To change our laws to reduce the impact of plastic on our world
To change corporate business practices
To change our local schools and communities
We can support solutions:
Engage with policymakers and become involved in our communities
Write letters to the editor, to corporations, to the companies we do business with
Speak up in your communities for sustainable practices
Join and contribute to organizations that advocate to address plastic.
